Built thanks generous partners for supporting Heart & Home initiative
Built has been overwhelmed with donations equivalent to $17,500 from industry and supply partners to support The Run for Good Project’s Heart & Home initiative to help the Women & Girls’ Emergency Centre (WAGEC).
Initiated by The Run for Good Project, Heart & Home is gathering high quality pre-loved and new furniture and household items, and cash donations to set up homes for at-risk women and children in Sydney.
Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre (WAGEC) is a non-government, not-for-profit charitable organisation that delivers a range of crisis and early intervention accommodation and support services to women, children and families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and/or domestic and family violence.
Ren Fernando from The Run for Good Project said “Home is where the heart is. But what if there is no home? No safe haven to call your own. For women and children escaping domestic violence or homelessness, a secure home is often out of reach.”
“We are so grateful to the team at Built and the businesses you have connected with on this initiative to give so generously. Through our public appeal, we initially were hoping to help furnish just five homes for five women and their children, but we were able to furnish these five homes through Built and their partners donations alone to the value of $17,500, which is a fantastic result.”
Built would like to gratefully thank our partners who donated to the initiative.
