Built joins client Charter Hall and tenant, Australia Post for 480 Swan St launch
Built celebrated the official project launch and sod turn at 480 Swan Street, Richmond recently marking the construction milestone for repeat client, Charter Hall’s 12-storey, 32,000sqm development that will deliver a future-ready transformative office precinct with new retail offerings and pedestrian thoroughfares.
The event commenced with a Welcome to Country by the Traditional Custodians from the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation.
As the future site for the Australia Post National Support Centre, the project team were also joined by Australia Post Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Paul Graham.
“Our highly experienced local team are looking forward to delivering another high-quality result that both Charter Hall and the people of Victoria can be proud of for many years to come,” said Brett Mason.
The innovative new workplace will be delivered using cutting edge digital engineering technology and under a carbon neutral framework, with a 6-star Green Star rating.
Working in collaboration with our client and corporate charity partner Re-Love, this project is also giving back to the local community through the Crate of Kindness initiative.
A large crate has been set up on site to store new and rescued household items and case workers from Emerge Women and Children’s Support Network will select items with their clients to furnish their new homes as they escape family violence.
