Australian-owned national property developer and contractor, Built, in partnership with Inspired Education Group, has officially completed Reddam House North Shore’s new state-of-the-art school, open for its inaugural year.

The former Harry Seidler-designed office building in North Sydney was carefully transformed into a new ‘vertical’ school that combines heritage refurbishment with cutting-edge facilities.
Speaking at the official opening event, Felicity Wilson MP, Member for North Shore, described education as a silver bullet for opportunity for children.

“There is significant demand from parents across our community in what is a rapidly changing and increasingly complex world, where we are striving to get the best opportunities for our children,” she said.

Leveraging our unique capability as both developer and builder, Built is committed to providing these opportunities, delivering essential infrastructure for our cities.

“At Built, we believe that great cities aren’t just about what we construct – they’re also about how we reimagine what’s already there,” said Jono Cottee, Development Director, Built.

“We’re proud to have given new life to this heritage asset – transforming it into an innovative, purpose-built education facility that matches Reddam House’s forward-thinking vision,” he continued.

The upgrade will add an additional 1,650sqm of education space to the existing building, transforming the carpark into a school drop off and auditorium, and providing state-of-the-art facilities such as a performance space, theatre, sports hall, as well as modern classrooms, including high-tech science and design tech labs, music rooms, drama and dance studios, and a library.

The school’s first-year enrolment has reached capacity, projected to accommodate up to 1,350 students, cementing its role as a premier educational hub for the region.

Built is proud to have created future opportunities for generations of children to come in North Sydney.
